In 2021, Project Interiors won a competitive tender and delivered an upgrade to bedrooms and kitchens at Unite Students Rosalind Franklin building in Portsmouth.
The scope of work involved the removal and full replacement of 50 full-sized communal kitchens and 11 studio kitchens, including replacement of flooring, decoration, all white and electrical goods, including LED lighting, door watchers and new MVHR system.
The 284-bedroom upgrade comprised of replacement beds along with new desk chairs and blinds.
We also received a variation to adapt the existing fire alarm and electrical cabling to the lift lobbies on all floors along with fire stopping and alteration of the existing ceilings. Plus a late instruction to fully decorate 314 rooms.
Phase two of the student accommodation upgrade is taking in 2022.
